Dawn and Mike Willey have been making wine from their grapes in the ten-year old vineyard for years. With the majority of the vineyard planted in the 2004 – 2006 time-frame reaching the peak quality years, Dawn and Mike decided to make the leap to commercial production, receiving licensing in 2014.
Flowering dogwoods and serene gardens is home to some of Chestertown’s earliest vines. These vines are hand thinned, their grapes hand picked. We practice less is best in the crafting of our wines produced from 100% on site grapes at our vineyard haven with views of the Chester River. Our wine quality is of the best in Maryland.
